Baby C's 1st plane ride to KL

This inaugural trip for baby C, we went to KL for official + personal trip. Before we left for KL, we asked Lil C if he had any places he wanted to visit. He told us that he wanted to see the KLCC Twin Tower. So we jot that down in our itinerary.

Queuing to check in at Terminal 2, AirAsia. We brought one luggage only.

Lil C loves seeing Men at Work.. He will describe every single transport & machines that being used.

We stayed in Boulevard Hotel, Midvalley for 5days; a better option for us to go window-shopping with kids. In case the kids were sleepy, we could just go up to our room to rest.

He just loves water!
Did some batik painting in one of the shops Papa training them to window shop. Love seeing the two boys in action

Our first night, we celebrated Earth Hour dining at Nando's in Midvalley. The mall had its lights turned off at least 40% and Lil C asked if there werent electricity during that night. I explained to him that its for the Global Warming Awareness and the Why Why Why kept going *dizzy*...

One of our main item in the shopping lists was Car Booster hunting, to upgrade Lil C's car seat. In fact, we had identified one before we arrived KL. Its the same place where we bought Lil C's first car seat, in 1utama. This time, we bought the Cybex Solution X for its safety and comfort feature. The old one will be inherited by Baby C (That's what happens when one isnt the eldest! Aren't the eldest kids lucky?)

Since we were at 1utama / damansara area, we decided to visit The Curve after being advised by friends that such place would have lots of kids' entertainment. Unfortunately, we didnt find anything for the kids to do. We were dissapointed for that took a day of our precious holiday.... hmmm... we could have visited KLCC instead...

A day before leaving KL, we planned to go to Sunway Lagoon. However, since SL only opens at 11am, so we thought of visiting KLCC first as Lil C was looking forward to see it with his own eyes (a backlog plan as the Curve visit took the timeslot). Instead of taking a direct trip using taxi to KLCC, we decided to let the kids experienced the LRT. So we took a taxi from our hotel to the nearest Bangsar LRT station... and the learning continued...

Walked up the stairs from the taxi stand to the Bangsar LRT station

Identified our stop and bought tickets from one of the vending machines.

Baby C didnt want to miss out too

Waiting for our train...
"KLCC is there!"

Lil C : "Mama, why there's no driver?"

Cak, I am in LRT

Boggeying with the Twin Tower

Next, we wanted to go up to the Skybridge that linked both towers together. Admission was free, but the queue was too long, so scrapped the idea. As we were about to leave KLCC, Lil C saw Dinosaurs eggs display and was excited about it. We asked around and found out that there's a Dinosaur Exhibition (DinoTrek) at the PetroScience in Level 4.

At the DinoTrek Entrance. It was quite dark inside and Lil C hated the dark. He also wasnt keen seeing the dinosaur 'robots' after all...

The Spinosaurus protecting its eggs
A robot model of a Stegosaurus.

Next was the PetroScience and Lil C enjoyed the experience. THis was the highlight of his trip. He kept referring the Backyard Science TV programme (Astro Ch 552) to these experiences.

building a "pipe" for the ball to roll

playing with the "Magnetic field"

scooping some 'beans' on to the bucket

built his own "racing" car

It was fun at the PetroScience and that took us almost 4 hours to complete the whole journey (Baby C was sleeping in my pouch half of the time). We left KLCC before 5pm to avoid the bad traffic jam and decided to return to Midvalley for dinner. So, we didnt go to Sunway Lagoon either, but we felt that PetroScience was a better activity this time around.

Baby C feasting!

Makan Time, very very hungry!

"LEGO City" - Lil C found his favourite shop in The Gardens, next to MegaMall. Yeah, we visited this shop EVERY NIGHT without fail.

Our luggageS - 48kg! and no, I didnt get any books for myself :(

p/s Apology all friends esp to Elaine, Met & Flo for unable meeting you guys there. Travelling with the kids, there could be quite unpredictable. Will meet you guys nextt ime!

Down to Memory Lane II

Ron,
Here's the 'drain' area where we did our stunts every morning..
Notice the blue-red fly-over. That's where the drain used to be, previously. Now it's a dual- carriage way that goes underground, direct to Sunway.. I think!

Shot was taken from the SS15 busstop, next to Metropolitan College, Subang (We used to catch the bus to KL every Friday, after our A-Levels class, right? Was it MetroBus 4?).
The black car coming from the right, that's to Taylor's College (to give you the orientation of this pic). And I think that mailbox was there during our time, right?

Animal-Rights
Just to add on, the picture below is a sad condition of a bird's cage which was placed right in the center of Asia Cafe, and the poor birds must be suffocated from heat and smoke of the stir-fry/roasted food surrounding them. How can anyone place the cage there?? I couldnt even stand there for more than a minute, bcoz of the heat/smoke... I hope the authority will take action for this matter!

Updates from nb
(Sun 26 Nov 2006)

I miss lil C soooo much, that I keep talking about him to cuz Flo all day long!! I almost wanted to bring one of lil C's pillows to accompany me to sleep here in USJ, but hubby thinks it would be an unwise idea. I think so too! Else I wont be typing all this but crying, hugging that pillow! Feeling soo bad leaving lil C in KK.

Actually, my first plan was to bring lil C and my mum here to Subang. But then, after giving a very thorough thought, both hubby and myself thinks that it is better that lil C stayed back in KK. Mainly because it is more convenient JUST IN CASE anything goes wrong, or lil C get sick.. How is my mum gonna bring him to the doctor? I wont be around coz I have my classes from 9am-10pm. Cuz Flo will be at work.

Feel sooooo down!

Down to Memory Lane

Update from nb
(Sun 26 Nov 2006)

Cuz Flo picked me from the airport at 1pm. She is currently staying in USJ, so that's my new home for the next 14days. Went to Subang SS15 for dinner... *sigh* makes me reminiscing those times.. masih budak ingusan lagi!

13 years had passed (gosh!).. and Subang Jaya has changed a lot! The first time I was there was 16th July 1993.. a day before I turned 17. That's when I was offered to study in Taylor's College for my Cambridge A-Levels. hahaha!! Cant believe it! After 13 years, I am back here, for my studies.. once again.

Even when I was working in PJ in the early 2000s, I didnt even want to visit this place becoz it was just too much memories to bear!

Here's some pix I took, esp for my dearest sisters (Sharon, Meta, Veron) to see. Girls, those were the times when we had our giggles, tears we shed together, ... haha! remember Mr. B*NG.. toot!! Hey, maybe I should dig out our pics and post them here.. hahahaha!! *treatening sudah nie*

Our first home was in SS14, where we stayed with a round Taiwanese lady who was married to a Sabahan. Still remember Mr. B*NG, whom always bring us makan at Subang Parade. Imagine us 6 girls, fit into his MM2988 Charade!! Hahahaha!!!! OMG!! sounded soo desperate huh? Veron is good in imitating his classic dance and violin performance which made us drop dead laughing whenever she does it! hahaha!!

Being too far from Taylor's and too crowded for 6 girls living in a master bedroom, we shifted, a month later, to a cosy 3-bedroom terrace house in SS14/2D. Very comfortable for 2 person in a room with our own kitchen and B&W TV which channels always got buzzed whenevr the airplane flew above our house. The neighbour's kid, Kavita, whom used to come to our house and taught us a word or two of Tamil.. Everytime after class, we'd hear her voice lingering,"Akak! Akak! Saapa de?".. sumthing like that, which means "Kakak(that's us), have you eaten (meal)?" or "Akak, akak!! Ingge Purengge?" means "where are you going"? We lived in that house for a good 1.5 year and left for Sabah after we completed our A-Levels.

Our next home was in SS15, which is very close to Subang Parade. Those time, Subang Parade was THE place to lepak. That's our 2nd home, esp for dinner and weekends. Back then, Sunway Pyramid/Megamall/KLCC were non-existent. However, only 4 of us (Met, Con, Ver & I) returned to Taylor's to start with our 3 semesters(1.5 year) in Taylor's Twinning Program with UTS and completed the rest of the semesters in Sydney, while the Ron went to Sunway College and Watee to Metropolitan College.

We had good life together, sharing our ups and downs for 3 wondeful years as a student. Thank God we were able to get along well, most prob because we came from similar background. Else berkakai nanti di rumah with bruises and all! hahaha!! I still remember when local students asked if we Sabahan still live on the tree..?? If we write letters to our parents? (duh! They thought no phone lines in Sabah) They call us ulu people, yet they were even more ulu, not knowing their Malaysian geography/history well enough. But then again.. those were the days.. Guess the internet has done a wonderful job in educating them.. kekeke!

Geez.. really went to Memory Lane for a while!! gives me the chill! hahaha brrrrrrrrrrr!!! that was soooo long time ago!

Ok, here are the pictures (pictures was taken using the 1st-gen camera phone)

Ron, do you remember where is this? Behind the coconut tree is Inti College.
Now converted to Starbucks! Such luxuries life style for the new millenium students..
Before, it was simple coffee shop with different kind of food. Loh Mee, Konlou Mee, nasi lemak, you want it, you got it!! After leaving the shop, our attires smells like the shop as well! hahahah.. thanks to the stir-fries/soups/satays etc.

The two pix above (opposite Starbucks), once upon a time a budgeted cinema - the right ticket price for us. We used to call it cinema tikus, coz whenever you watch movies there, you sometimes can feel/hear rats running below your seat.. and the cinema stinks like urine smell! hahaha!

Now that place has been converted into an eatery called Asia-Cafe. So cun! So many different type of food available! From Noodles-rice to Korean/Japanese to Pizza... Name it and you'll have it!

That's INTI college, which has bloom so much. Those days, when we were at the highest floor of Taylors looking down at INTI... it looked like a kindergarten building.. so homey, so low! Hehehe.. and now, it has emerged and has branches throughout Malaysia.

Walking further to the right, ta-da! Taylor's College! heheh.. oh, and now, it has upgraded it self to Taylor's University College.

During my time, Taylor's only offered 2 twinning program, i.e. Law at Sheffield Uni, UK and Business at UTS, Aus. Now, they have varieties of programs. Additional buildings to cater classes for many different courses. In fact, there are 5 campuses which house respective schools.

Ahead of us, the green building is one of Taylor's campus. I think its the business school. (Correct me if I am wrong)

Walk straight and turn to the right, another campus of Taylor's. This is the American Degree Tansfer Program. The other one is the Hospitality & Tourism, located at where Bali Discoteque once was (not in pic)

Alas, my institute!! Modern Montessori International ~ my class for the next 2 weeks, starting tomorrow!

For the 1st time...

Guys, this is an delayed update on my blogs.. (updated from hubby's notebook. Brought it along to do some required assignments. However, couldnt get internet access while I was away)
(Sun 25th Nov 2006)

This is my first time leaving lil C, for 2 full weeks.. yeap, 14days and I'm not sure how both of us gonna deal with it. I'm sooo worried that he wont get use to other people way of handling him..
Sent me to KK-T2 airport before they attend mass at CMI, lil C was already sleeping in his carseat. Didnt manage to say goodbye to mama. Hope he wouldnt be looking for me when he gets up later!
I am waiting for my flight to Subang Jaya. Cuz Flo will pick me up at the new AirAsia terminal in KL.

Pictures of the renovation in KK-T2 airport! Please bear in mind, picture quality isnt at its best! Was using bro's 1-gen Nokia w/camera.

Home Sweet Home

There's no place like home, definitely!

Did our last minute shopping at mid-valley, packed everything (including the baby car seat). Kinda bulky baggage. We were worried about having extra weight baggage. Even taxi's booth couldnt fit that box (car seat) in. Checked out from Boulevard Hotel, its kinda messy.. Some how, our bill listed an unknown phone call made during our stay. After all the hussle, wasted our time so much, cleared out the discrepancies in the bill.. we checked out as our taxi waited for us. Left for airport at 12.30pm.

Lil C slept during the journey to the airport, which wasnt intended to. I thought to put him sleep during our flight. But its a pity to see that he was tired, or maybe got comfy during the taxi ride.

Arrived at the KLIA airport, had a quick lunch (actually needed a place to feed lil C). Hadda go through the international channel as the flight we were catching was via KK to Taiwan. So, basically, after lunch we were rushing to our departure gate. We met our friends who had just arrived from LA, and also catching the same flight as us, back to KK.

In the plane, lil C refused to sit. He was enjoying PaPa's companion and was playing with him most of the time. Luckily he wasnt cranky and MaMa gave him his pacifier during take-off. Almost another hour bfore landing at KK airport only then lil C slept... What a relieve!!

Arrived at KK airport, Jon suksuk was there to pick us up. Lil C saw his suksuk and was very excited. Arrived home, pohpoh & gonggong must have missed his cheekiness sooo much!!! Pampered him the whole evening..

MaMa stretched her back!!! erhhkkk.... its good to be home again!

Day 3 in KL

Didnt do much today. PaPa hadda business appointment, so lil C (still slight fever & vomiting) and MaMa stayed in da room. MaMa made sure that b4 going anywhere, lil C shud haf enuff sleep/rest. He slept till noon, when PaPa has came back to the hotel room.

Earlier, after PaPa's appoinment, he went to 1 utama mall again, to buy the new baby carseat. We could have got it yesterday, but last night we were comparing the differences between the carseats that we saw... Checked online all the features that werent mentioned by the sales people. At the end, we decided to buy the red Maxi-Cosi Baby Car Seat at Bebehaus.. We were looking for a new carseat as the ones that we uses back home cannot be reclined as low. We needed this feature as we normally travel long-distance quite often with poor lil C's neck is tilt side/front ways. Hopefully this new car seat helps..
PaPa also bought Baby Einstein DVD. MaMa was looking for it hi&lo in KK/KL and Bebehaus offered a good bargain for it. I have read about this baby einstein stuffs but werent sure what it was... just sounded interesting... einstein..einstein.... Will give a review about it later!

Went to have Vietname food with a cousin of mine there. Walked around and bought some Xmas prezzie for those at home. =) Didnt do much shopping for myself too! Just not enuff time, especially knowing that lil C wasnt well. Maybe that's just MaMa's worries... I know he is gonna be fine, but just the thought of him being sick turned me off for shopping!

ANyways, am going home tomorrow.. Flight ETA BKI around 5.30pm. Hopefully all goes well.

p/s didnt take any pix today as not in the mood..

Day 2 in KL

Poor boy had some mild virus attack! He had slight fever & vomiting, which could be caused by 1001 reason, and one of them was that PaPa has flu. For some reason, this journey, lil C was so attached to PaPa that he only wants his PaPa to carry him around. So, I guess that's how he got the virus... hehehe.. maybe, just maybe.... (hehe..and MaMa has her arms lighter.. tee hee hee)

MaMa & PaPa brought lil C to see doc, but doc was only available at 10.30pm. SO, while waiting, M & P made him sit with Ernie & the Gang.. just to cheer him up.

Experimenting the steering wheel

Look at his face, not as cheerful as ernie... for now....

Chooo! Chooo!!

Doc gave Paracetamol for fever, and some brown liquid (forgot its name) for flu & vomiting. After seeing doc, we brought lil C to 1 utama to shop for babies stuffs... yippeee..

We browsed around, main purpose was to look for baby car seat.. and baby stuffs. Others were secondary... Went to check maxi-cosi, britax, mothercare, etc..... not sure which one to get...

When we were looking for taxis to send us back to the hotel room, it was raining cats and dogs.. Luckily this kind security guy was helpful.. got a taxi and stopped it just for us. Thank You!

Arrived at hotel, went for makan and jalan-jalan.

Put on his jacket while waiting at the taxi stand.. Now in hotel, trying to take it off by himself..

erghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to KL from N9

We were ready to get back to KL after a night at Seremban. It's a small town, old buildings around.. however, seemed bigger than KK. Anyways, we managed to get a taxi to send us to Boulevard Hotel (attached to Midvalley Megamall) That was the idea of staying there.. dont think I can bear any of the traffic congestions esp with the lil one.

Here's a pix of lil C, seated at the Duty Manager's desk while waiting for taxi to bring us to KL.

Arrived at Mid Valley around noon. As our room would only be ready at 2pm, we decided to have lunch at Picolo Mondo, an italian restaurant. Here's some adorable acts of his:

CAK! PaPa!

He was imitating PaPa, playing house using the Menu List.. hehehe
After all that journey. yet he was still energetic & alert!

We got our room 1501, but unfortunately there's no bath tub for lil C to bath! We didnt realise that only some rooms has such facilities. So, MaMa hadda think quick how to bath lil C... so:
hehehe.. thought he enjoyed it! He's looking at PaPa thro the mirror! so cute!

Special Pose.. "I love this bath tub, just the right size =)!"

After bath, had dinner and roamed around the shopping mall. Above was lil C in a push car! Didnt really enjoy the 1st day of shopping at this mall. Its just tooo crowded! Thinking back, I lived in this big city for 5 years... Guess dat living in it is different than visiting.. hehehe.. no matter how familiar you are with the place..
