Still into CDs
Baby C has almost outgrown his S-size CDs (actually, he has.. his backside is showing.. just that MaMa still keep stuffing him in it!) He has a few One-Size, and needed to get more.
All this time, Baby C has been loyal to pocket CDs with hoop & loop closure, especially brands like Drybees, Happy Heiny's & BumGenius. Now, MaMa is looking for alternatives. Bought a couple Blueberry Minky OS CDs with snaps at the side, and loving it. If possible, would like to use baby's butt as my soft pillow.. tee hee hee.. Mama also bought GADimal, just becoz its furry.. hahhaha! My friends just love rubbing his backsight.. poor baby!

MaMa's little furry bear
I havent tried any fitted yet, and looking an alternative for night diapering. I have been using Drybees Fleece, perfect for overnight and for a heavy wetter like Baby C. However, due to its breathable fleece, it allows the aroma of urine roaming around our bedroom; not a great scent to inhale when waking up early in the morning. .
Reviews:

BumGenius 3.0 (No pix) - thumbs up! Just not enough colors
p/s I realised that I didnt take much pix of Baby C in his CDs. Most of the time, Baby C wears hand-me-down rompers... so, that covers his CDs

Lil C at work
One of lil C's favourite working space is on his easel. He would draw whatever his encounter in his daily life.

Lil C loves doing this activity. First few times, he couldnt control his movement and that frustrates him.. but now, his hand movement has gotten so much flexible, thanks to a lot other PLE Mama did with him.

Shopping Online Sabah-based
I have been shopping online since early 2000 with the first purchase was made at amazon.com (a bookworm!) I was so into online shopping (kira macam addict juga la tuh kan excuses as we dont have shopping malls that sells those things in KK), that when lil C was a baby, I wanted to open an online baby shop or anything that deals with infants & toddlers, be it selling products/services. A friend and myself even talked about setting up a KK breastfeeding group, to assist and encourage new moms to breastfeed their newborns. (Back then, I was inspired with Lilian's My Mom's Best)
But then, being a first time mom with no maid to assist, I was so involved with the everyday ah sau's (ahmah) job + a baby to take care, the ambitious thoughts was slowly faded away. With my limited time & knowledge (as well as confidence), instead, I took up a correspondence course, a Montessori diploma for children of 3-6 years old. (Who knows I might open Infants & Toddlers Development class oneday!)
3 years later (that's now), I noticed that more and more moms (be it WAHM/FTWM) started their online business too! And the inspiring bit is that some of them located in KK/Sabah...
I would like to list down the Shopping Online which are Sabah-based, as reference. I am proud and inspired by you! (Please inform me if there's more, would like to add them... Sabah Boleh juga bah! The Boleh-land *giggle*)

Anymore Sabah-based Online shopping???

My CD Stash
I know, I have an older post re the same title above. Anyways....
Here's my 1st CD stash purchased from miabambina.com, just few days before baby popped out. Sandra, the owner, has been wonderful for spending almost 2 hours showing me her stuffs at home (There were 2 other expecting moms, so we messed up her place learnt from each other too.)A contented mama, I purchased (pix : top) 3 Drybees pocket diapers , ( pix : bottom, from left to right) 1 Bummis super brite green cover, 1 Berry wonderwrap Onesize cover, 1 GAD pocket microfleece, 1 Thirsties melon diaper cover; (not in pix) a dozen of unbleached prefold, snappis, flushable diaper liner (eekkk... takut taeee), inserts & hemps, wipes etc.
By the time we went home, Sandra's house macam kena bomb!!! Like the 3 MaMa serbu her house, and left it in a total mess.. the diapers / bags / accessories were everywhere the place! Sorry ah, Sandra! hehehehe..
The first thing I did after arriving home was to wash the prefolds. Sandra said I need to wash them 3 times, and I thought like 3 times of washing machine cycle, which I could do in a day!! hahaha!! Noooooo... she meant, 3 times that takes 3 days to do it - wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry. By the time the third rinse, I was already in labour! These are my 2nd purchase from Nicki's Diapers. (pix : top) Bumkins AIO & Drybees black pocket feece. (pix : bottom) 2 Bumkins diaper covers. I bought the bumkins in XS size, because Baby C was too little for the other S-sized cd. Poor baby! However, I dont think that the Bumkins are PUL as it only mention that it's leakproof (please do correct me if I am wrong here). Anyways, I fell in love with the prints, esp the Dr Seuss ones (both MaMa & lil C are crazy over him!!)!! Dopey MaMa! oh! and it fits well too on Baby C.. *tsk*tsk*tsk*
Currently, this is what Baby C uses every day, a diaper cover + lampin or sometimes the prefold.. His cord had just fell off a few days ago (after 16 days!!) and I didnt dare to put him on pocket CDs nor dispo as yet. Last week, I did put him on dispo, he was still to tiny for that. I think the dispo (XS Huggies) was loose and kept rubbing on his tummy caused his cord to bleed. We rushed to the paed the next morning, only to get reassurance from him that it was okay (baby wont feel any pain) as long as there's no infection around/outside his umbilical cord.
Contented Baby C! He is gaining weight.. Last week thursday, the nurse weighed him, already 2.9kg... :) MaMa has become a fulltime cow! Feeding him on demand (like evry 1.5hr most of the time!)

Baby C in CD covers
Okay, I havent figured out what to call baby Cameron in this blog, lame, uncreative MaMa, forgive her for that. So, for the meantime, it's baby C.
Here's baby C in his CDs, bought from miabambina.com.
Baby C in Thirsties melon diaper cover. Love the bright cover!
Baby C in Super Brite Green Bummis diaper cover.
I have also started the Drybees Pocket CDs for him to wear during night time. It's still a lil too big for the tiny baby. After few nights testing, I found out that hemp inserts works best! No leak .. for now....! will test again.. Meanwhile, during the day, he is on his hand-me-down lampin (belonged to his ah pak ~ PaPa's eldest bro, as old as 44 years, but kept well by MIL and still in good condition. In fact, the material is 101 times better than the ones that is selling now). MaMa has bought few more CD covers (XS-size) online from the US, but havent received them yet. I bet, by the time it reaches here, Baby C would probably outgrown them! hahaah!
Baby C is soooo tiny that all his mittens & booties came off after 2 mins putting it on him. So, lazy MaMa decided to just wrap/swaddle him, to keep him warm instead. Last night, he slept at 11pm after his meal & got up around 5.30am for the next meal... Till the next update!
p/s Can anyone tell me where to find preemie size cloths, mitts & boots for baby C (in Kota Kinabalu stores of course) ? Sandra, another opportunity here! *wink! Wink*

My CD Stash
Got my first stash of CDs from Miabambina.com. At last, I can have some good rest sleep.. I bought 12 prefolds, 4 Pocket CDs & 3 cover diapers... For a start, I think its good enough.. (but of coz, I cant help wanting for more). I would start baby with the prefolds first, until MaMa is convinced with CDs.
I saw the kissaluv's fitted diaper, and I fell in love with it!!! They look so adorable, that it made me wanting to chew them... They look like delicious, colourful marshmellow!! hehehe.. I stopped myself from bulk-buying them (even Sandra was giving discounts for it) coz I need to settle my mind with the basic diapering first... First comes first!
Now, I am doing my 3rd wash for the prefolds... :) Happy Cloth Diapering, CD-addict moms!

CD Learning
I am 'CD-learning' in the process... Have been reading soooo many CD info online lately.. (Not a grad yet, coz I havent bought any.. and blamed it to the prego brain, still kinda blurr2).
Some friends told me, just do it! Get them and learn... Actually, I am just lazy a 'poo-poo' freak mom! That means, I will run away if I smell poos. I know this sounds ridiculous from a mom of a 3yo kid by now... But even now, I do feel like throwing up when I clean lil C's. I dont touch any other kids' nor ever clean any kid's butt apart from mine! Imagine, now I am putting myself as a fulltime 'poo-poo' cleaner soon!
Sigh! I guess, now that I am worried about my kids' future generations.. (hahaha), I have informed DH that I will go on with my CD plan. (I kinda ditched the plan after a while, but dear Elaine's post made me to think twice.).. Also being green and stuffs like that!
I am in my 37weeks now.. anytime!!! I have to plan stuffs soon.. and I guess my first CD purchase would probably go to Miabambina.. becoz her place is just around the corner of mine.. (Not so close la, maybe 7mins drive!).. psst! Got discounts, ah? heheheh.. just kidd, sandra!
Ok, going back to my CD learning center! Adios for a while!

Cloth Diapers vs Disposable diapers?
Q: I have a month old baby and my husband and I are wondering whether to use cloth or disposable nappies?
A: It is recommended to use cloth nappies / diapers for several reasons. Disposable nappies / diapers are a modern invention for the convenience of parents that goes against nature.
The disposable nappies are designed to keep the baby dry and hold so much liquid. This is great if you dislike changing nappies.Cloth nappies / diapers are not as convenient to clean up and may need constant changing, but there are nappy services around that can help you with the washing of the diapers if you opt to. There are also such things as nappy liners that can help with the BM’s.Using cloth nappies is more beneficial than disposables for many reasons. Cloth nappies help with the early beginnings of toilet training, since children learn about their bodies and about toileting through the experience. Disposable nappies negate the sensation to the result when urination occurs. Children do not feel wet when they have urinated and well so they do not have an understanding of what is going on with their bodies. Cloth nappies on the other hand allow the child to feel the sensation of wetness associated with urinating. When they feel wet and are uncomfortable, change them immediately so they are used to the clean dry feeling. The earlier the child experiences this the easier it will be to have them toilet trained.
There are many stories showing the benefits of using cloth diapers when babies were toilet trained by the age of 12 months. I have also heard of stories of children using inferior types of disposable nappies that make them aware of the wetness and as the result they toilet train earlier than other children.
If your child toilet trains earlier imagine how much money you can save on nappies!
